Hello? Would you calm down?!

In life some steps are easy, relatable and easily compromised but some are not.

Let’s make this understandable.

FOR EXAMPLE: one who has been long incarcerated; (however long, long may be in terms of the development of tech-age) is now released and probably decides to catch the bus home to his/her long unseen family; unfortunately meets a long queue of people with a very anxious and heated passenger in line who happens to have issues with the transit app on his/her phone—in outrage, this passenger grumbles and seeks the assistance of the passenger (recently released) ahead of him/her; “excuse me, do you by any chance have a transit app on your phone”?

With naive tone, the response goes thus, “I’m sorry what’s that”?

The already agitated passenger with additional irritated facial expression to his/her countenance then goes, “you don’t know transit app, in this age”?

…..

To cut this piece short, the essence of this is that for the sole fact that you know “basics” (however basic, basic may be) doesn’t automatically mean that someone else will, whether aged whatever or more. Hello? Would you calm down?! After all, you might just have come across this person FOR THE FIRST TIME. Moreso, their story thou knowest not! 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏽‍♂️

Now, keep in mind that your idea of what’s basic might be another’s idea of technical given their living/surrounding circumstance(s) and vice versa—key note is to “try to acknowledge a person through the innocence of their knowledge”.

Let’s assume, your current state of mind (as that of the agitated passenger) doesn’t allow room for such acknowledgement then breath, hiss, shrug your shoulders, shake your head in pity, display a ridiculing demonstration if you’d like (to contain yourself) and thereafter turn to the next person; neither would it change anything for the moment nor for the naive person and of course Life continues, after all. Respect is blissful.

Written with the incarcerated innocent in mind—May nature work in your favor soon…
